International Flag Day
As celebrations for Haitian Heritage Month take place this May to commemorate and recognize valuable contributions made by Haitians to the History of the World and Palm Beach County, Haitian American Producer Nicely Jean and Filmmaker/Teacher Gary Davis of Toussaint L'Ouverture School of the Arts and Social Justice have both partnered with The Boynton Cinema and various Palm Beach County Students to produce the International Haitian Flag Day at the Boynton Cinema. This event is a way for the youth, community, government and businesses to come together and celebrate Flag Day by watching a movie and sharing Haitian history and culture. It will be a perfect place for everyone in Palm Beach County to come together and enjoy a night at the movies and celebrate International Haitian Flag Day at the Boynton Cinema. Nicely Jean who is a Haitian American says that he is very proud of his Haitian Culture and believes the youth in the community needs to know the importance of the Haitian Contribution to the world. Haitian and Haitian American students represent the largest ethnic minority group from a single country in the School District of Palm Beach County which consists of more than 14,000 students. Thus being the case, it is a perfect way for individuals and families to watch a movie, mingle and celebrate Haitian culture, history, music, food, fashion, art and more at one of Palm Beach County's most distinguished cinemas.
